Master Jeremy

Last Wednesday was a great mail day!  I checked the mail after work and found 1- no bills  2- a rebate check from my insurance and 3- a check to us from our apartment complex for referring my co-worker to move into our complex!  

As if those weren't great enough, Jeremy's diplomas finally came! 

The top one is his Bachelors (notice the Magna Cum Laude, what a smartie!)  The second one is his Masters!  

We will work on finding a fancy frame for these expensive pieces of paper!  

So now that it is official - his degrees are posted and we have the diplomas we will do a flashback to May 6, 2011 when he "walked" for graduation.

It was a great day and I was oh so proud of him!  
Even though he didn't feel like it was an official graduation (since he still had the summer to work on and defend his thesis) it was still fun to celebrate and be with family.


August 18, 2011 Jeremy defended his thesis.  Here he was practicing his presentation the night before at our house. 

Before we headed to that U that morning I gave him a candy gram good luck poster that I made . . . . why?  
Because we both love candy!
Here is what is said  . . . .
Jeremy-
Congratulations!  You have survived MILK DUD professors, MOUNDS of homework and NUTRAGEOUS late nights of studying so you could SKOR well on all of your tests and projects!  You have had some ROCKY ROADS but have proved you can ROLL with the punches and that you are no DUM DUM!  Thanks for being such a SMARTIE and working so hard!  You are a RED HOT student in your WHATCHMACALLIT degree!  There will be no SNICKERS and only a SYMPOHNY of cheers after your defense!  I'll be the one in the front row BURSTING with happiness for you!  Can't wait for you to be able to start to LOOK for your perfect job so you can make 100 GRAND!  You'll do great because you have worked EXTRA hard in preparing.  I don't think you are an AIR HEAD but you are one BIG HUNK that I love to the MILKY WAY!

and in case you are wondering, yes we still are have some of the candy bars left almost 5 months later!

Here he is getting his presentation set up.  He talked for a couple hours and answered questions from his committee and audience with perfect ease!  His committee signed off on his thesis that day (meaning he passed!) but they did want him to make a few revisions.  

I know that he is loving not having to worry about school and homework every waking moment of his life!  It has been a fun few months of us just working and coming home at night and not having to worry about how late he will be up doing school stuff!  I am grateful for all of his hard work that he put forth in school.  He was a very dedicated and motivated student (the motivation was running low the last few months though!)  

Congratulations on graduating officially Jeremy!
