Thanksgiving 2010

This Thanksgiving we headed down to Mapleton. The Vegas family came out and we all had a great time eating way too much and playing! On Friday we all headed up to Draper to visit Grandma and to go to a fun place that Nichole called "Chuck E Cheese on steroids" The place had arcades, mini bowling, bumper cars, miniature golfing and such. We had a lot of fun!

All the cute kids with Great Grandma Rose

Hatee helping her dad win some tickets!

Yeah for bowling! It was a the perfect size for little people!

We were able to see Brandon and Stacie and their cute kids for a few minutes while we were both in Mapleton for the holiday. It was wonderful talking with them and catching up! Even if it was only just for a few minutes!

Cute Maelea
Smile!

Apparently Thanksgiving is boring!

We had a great time!

Friends and Baby Showers

Katie and Chris are having a baby! We had a baby shower for her at our apartment. It was sure fun visiting with old friends and seeing all the cute little itty bitty baby things! Can't wait to meet the little guy! (I am still rooting for the name "Bridger" since we all lived in Bridgerland Apartments, but Katie says that name sounds like it would be a naughty little boy. She is a teacher and knows naughty, so I guess we will have to think of some more options for them!)
We forgot to take a picture until everyone was gone, so we got one of just us!
All the great presents!
The wind was blowing like crazy that day. I had crepe paper wrapped on our balcony and as Jeremy was taking it down it was flying straight out!
Lisa came to Utah to visit for a few days! It was so fun to meet her and Emily at our favorite meeting place, The Training Table.
We had fun talking, laughing and eating way too many fries!
Come back and visit soon Lisa!

Halloween (Past and Present!)

Halloween sure is a fun time of the year! It is especially fun for Miss Maren because every year she gets to have a fun halloween/birthday party.
This years party did not let us down!
Birthday girl and Mr. Oreo face.
(Don't mind their mom wrapped up in toilet paper, she was getting cold and that was all she could find to keep warm . . . .
or we were playing a minute to win it game!)
Hatee taking her her turn at spinning (Note for next year . . play all spinning games before eating large amounts of food)
Who knew toilet paper was so much fun to play with?!
It kept the kids entertained for a good 15 minutes!
Hatee shaking her booty!
Oreo contest . . .
Task: Oreo starts on forehead and needs to end up in your mouth
(using NO hands!)
I did not do well at that game. Jeremy did great!
Warren Jeffs and his lovely wives
Jeremy was a chilean miner and I was a paper doll
(can you tell we didn't have much time or a lot of creativity this year!)

And now for Halloweens past . . . .

Halloween 2008
(skipped 2009 cause I already blogged about it last year!)
I was a nerd and the girls were from High School Musical
A couple days after Maren's party that year we all packed up and headed to Disneyland for a fun filled family vacation!
Disneyland was decorated so cute and we had a GREAT time!
Cousins! (Aren't they cute?!)

Halloween 2007
(Ward par-tay up the canyon in a big lodge)
Katie and I were flappers, Hannah was a gypsy and
Chris was a rocker (I think!)
Yeah for Halloween it is such a fun holiday!

Flash Back Friday - Fall Fun

Yep, you read it right . . flash back Friday has returned. I was looking through some old pictures and just had to post them!
First lets start in 2007. That August I moved from my lovely comfortable Logan down to SLC to start a new adventure. Luckily Katie was willing to be my roommate again. I moved down to SLC with no job (well I did have a part time job with a rec center) and we had just barely found the house we were going to move in a week or two before I moved down! Seriously . . . what was I thinking?!

Our cute house

After a few weeks of being there we decided to have a house warming party with our other neighbors. Lots of fun people came and we had a good time!
(Awe cute . . . the beginning of Katie and Chris's love!)
Shanell came down to visit one weekend and Chris was able to hook us up with some sweet free rides on the coaster and the alpine slide.
Getting ready to go down the slide!
(This picture is for you Katie!)
Katie, Chris and I went up to Snowbird to enjoy Oktoberfest. We had a great time and drank a lot of beer (not).

Around that same time I met this cute boy. Jeremy moved down to SLC to start school at the U and lived in Brett and Wendy's basement apartment (his sister and brother in law). Their house was in the same ward boundaries as my new house.
Luckily that first Sunday we sat next to each other in Sunday School and shared a hymn book! (Thank you Singles Ward!)

Fall 2008

I sure like the Fall!

Happy Birthday Oma/Grandma Zoey!

Today is my mom's birthday! We met them for a VERY yummy dinner at Market Street Grill! It was a nice night with great company and food! We sure love you mom, thanks for all you do and for being such a wonderful mom (and grandma!)
