Playing = Hard Work!

I was in the kitchen one afternoon while Avery was playing in the family room.  She was kicking and talking then a few seconds later it was quiet.  I walked down to find her like this....  Sleeping on the job.

Interesting!

Avery was taking a nap in her swing one day (well she pretty much takes a nap in her swing every day!).  One minute I saw her and she was peacefully sleeping I leave for two minutes and come back in the room to find this terribly uncomfortable sleeping position she had placed herself in!  It doesn't look as bad in the picture as it did in real life!  I grabbed the camera . . . THEN . . . fixed her head . . . sheesh I have turned into one of those parents who gets a picture first before taking care of the problem!  

Month pictures

I had seen the idea of taking pictures of your baby each month on their birthday and thought the idea was oh so cute.  I found these little stickers online.  

They are so easy peasy . . all you do is 

1- Grab a cute baby

2- Put cute baby in white onesie

3- Peel off sticker and slap sticker on onesie

4- Take way too many pictures of baby in onesie with month sticker

I can't believe how skinny she was!  

For this one she was moving like crazy . . . hence the blurry hand!

"Ahhh . . . . choo!"

"Yum . . I love my fist!"

And . . . done!

Wow . . month two.  She looks a little chubbier!  What a difference a pound or two makes!  She was so happy this day taking pictures!

Brian Head 2012

Over the 24th we went to Brian Head with my family for a little  Hjorth Family Reunion/Vacation.  The Vegas family came and everyone had a great time hanging out, exploring, swimming, playing at the Club House and of course eating!

All of the kids loved playing with Avery.  They were all so good with her and would shake her rattle and toys in front of her face for hours to keep her entertained.  I think she is bored with just me at home now!

One day we went to Bryce Canyon and also visited the city Tropic where Grandma Ranquist was from.

We went for a fun drive up a mountain one day and saw this old building and once we were at the top could see for miles!

Grandma got all of the kids new pajamas.  This was the second night of wearing the new pj's.  Avery had a blow out in hers the first night . . . so she is just wearing a onesie!

All these pictures I stole from Nate.  Everyone went on a little hike (rode the ski lift up and walked back down).  Avery and I stayed at home.
